Web Security Specialist

(Contract/Contract to hire, Full/Part time)
JobID: WHA-DEV-005-2019

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Assess web client, web server, database and cloud deployment of a customer facing Web Application to identify security risks and impact to customers; recommend which security capabilities and certifications should be prioritized and built

  • Identify and protect web application and web service security vulnerabilities including those found in the OWASP Top 10 and CWE Top 25

  • Build, integrate and test required modules and components 

  • Collaborate with legal and security teams to ensure clarity and feasibility of contractual requirements related to security

  • Contribute to security best practice whitepapers for internal and external use by collaborating with product teams

  • Assist with researching and assessing new cloud technologies, performing threat modeling to identify risk, and recommending tools 

REQUIREMENTS

  • 7+ years of cyber security experience

  • Experience with web and mobile platform security

  • Experience with cloud environments such as AWS and/or on-premises enterprise-class products

  • Exceptional problem-solving, software development and creative thinking skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Bachelor’s or master’s in computer science or related field, depending on position level

RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of California privacy regulations to take effect in 2020

  • Cloud and security industry certifications such as AWS and Azure, SSCP, CCSP

  • Experience with contractual/legal agreements related to GDRP

  • Security certifications used by federal and law enforcement organizations

Front-End Web Developer

Job Description

Whamix is looking for a motivated Front-End Web Developer. Responsibilities include software development to (a) translate UI/UX design wireframes to produce application's visual elements and (b) access and process backend data. You will work with the UI/UX designers and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation as well as work with the backend software developers, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works.

Responsibilities

  • Develop user-facing responsive web pages

  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs

  • Optimize application for speed and scalability

  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use

Skills And Qualifications

  • Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3

  • Basic understanding of CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS

  • Proficient understanding of client-side scripting, JavaScript frameworks such as React /Vue/ Polymer and ES5, ES6

  • Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX

  • Proficient understanding of responsive web pages, cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.

  • Basic understanding of Google Material Design, Progressive Web Applications (PWA), State Management such as Reudx/Flux, Routers, Single Page Web Applications, and ADA Compliance.
